[00:00:04] Welcome to The Mindy Paul Show, the podcast where we discuss mind, money, business and manifestation all in one mic.

[00:00:12] Having worked with business owners, CEOs and executives in industries from accountants, lawyers, dentists, coaches, consultants and even Hollywood producers,

[00:00:21] just to mention a few from across the globe on how to earn more and work less and attract an abundance of your dream clients.

[00:00:28] Now their circumstances may differ but my message remains the same.

[00:00:32] You've got so far doing things your way. Now if it's not working your way, why not try someone else's way that's been proven to work.

[00:00:39] So what do you say? Are you ready to give mine a shot?

[00:00:46] Firstly, I want to wish you a happy new year. So this is 2025, right? We're here, 2025, time for some new results in your life.

[00:00:56] This next year, who are you going to become? Who do you need to become to attain the success that you're striving for or thriving for?

[00:01:05] Whichever one you want to use. Every year, so many people all around the world set new year's resolutions and they wear off.

[00:01:13] And don't be one of them. I never ever set a news resolution. Why? Because I don't need to wait until the 1st of January to set myself a new goal or new intention.

[00:01:24] You should be setting yourself a news resolution every single freaking day.

[00:01:27] Hey, we're going to take a deep dive into yourself today. We're going to take a deep dive into your team.

[00:01:35] So do you match your personality, your character traits? Do they match that of the person that you would be if you were earning that million a year or two million a year?

[00:01:44] Whatever that goal is. What are some of the attributes that you feel like you're missing? What are absent? Is it your leadership skills? Is it your own work ethic maybe?

[00:01:54] Work ethic's a big one, right? Because we can be so busy doing standard things that don't really make a difference to anybody's life.

[00:02:01] We can just be taking it so easy thinking that we're busy just because we're working like 14 hours a day.

[00:02:06] You could work 14 hours a day and not get nothing done. Top level CEOs, there's a study done about this. They only actually work, I can't remember what it was, like three solid hours.

[00:02:18] And they monitored their productivity and how productive they actually are in the time they work. They're super efficient.

[00:02:25] How do you rate your efficiency? If you had to rate yourself at 1 to 10, where would you rate yourself in terms of like getting the tasks done that are set in front of you?

[00:02:36] Do you kind of procrastinate? Can't even say it today, right? Procrastinate or do you get things done? Do you get moving? You get into action?

[00:02:41] Are you an unstoppable entrepreneur or are you an unstoppable one where you just can't get started? Crazy, right?

[00:02:48] There's a difference between the high achievers. You'll find that we are very productive. I say we because I'm a high achiever, right?

[00:02:55] It wasn't always, but I had to redesign myself. I had to remodel myself. Just like your kitchen at home. You remodel your house, right?

[00:03:04] How many times have you redecorated your house or change your garden around, change your car?

[00:03:08] But how much time have you actually spent diligently changing your own concept of yourself?

[00:03:15] How you act, how you behave, how you interact with your team, how you drive your business forward?

[00:03:21] Maybe you're feeling that you're way too comfortable in what you're doing and you just can't seem to click into action.

[00:03:27] There's a reason why that happens because we have our own concept of ourselves. We have an identity and we can never outperform the identity.

[00:03:33] So I want you to look at today your ability to network with people. Are you able to network with people?

[00:03:39] Do you even feel comfortable going out and meeting new people?

[00:03:43] Strangers have your money. Strangers have your money.

[00:03:46] So you've got as much money as you're probably going to get from your immediate circle, right?

[00:03:51] Now, or maybe you haven't. Maybe you don't even tap into your immediate circle.

[00:03:54] Maybe you're not looking to serve them and sell them more products and services.

[00:03:59] Maybe you have a transaction with them when they are ready to buy, but you never actually outreach to them to see how you can actually help them.

[00:04:08] What if you can solve problems for most of your clients right now, but they haven't reached out to you because they're not even aware that you can help them?

[00:04:17] And you're sitting around waiting for them to reach out to you.

[00:04:19] This is a common problem that people have. They wait for other people to reach out for them.

[00:04:24] Just before Christmas, we took on a new client. She hadn't wrote any business for like three months.

[00:04:28] She came into one of our inner circle calls. I gave her instructions, exact instructions on what to do.

[00:04:33] And she ends up making the next 40 grand within a week.

[00:04:37] Absolutely crazy just by instruction because I changed the way she was doing her business.

[00:04:43] So where do you need to improve? What about sales? Do you like outreaching to people? Do you like reaching out to people?

[00:04:49] What about, this is really important. What about your team?

[00:04:53] What are your team doing? What's your team's performance like?

[00:04:56] Are they performing? Do you just let them roll?

[00:04:59] Just let them carry on with just staying in their own lane and just pottering along?

[00:05:04] Or do you actually manage them? I'm not talking about micromanaging.

[00:05:08] Do you actually set them KPIs? Do you actually observe their performance?

[00:05:12] A lot of people have a team. I hear this a lot, Mindy.

[00:05:15] You know what? We're not really getting anywhere, this, that and the other.

[00:05:18] So why don't you look at yourself and look at your team?

[00:05:20] How much of an alignment are you with your team?

[00:05:23] Are they aware of what the goal is, what their expectations are?

[00:05:25] Or do they wait for you to lead them?

[00:05:28] You want to get a team that, look, you've got to lead your team.

[00:05:31] Don't get me wrong, but you want to get a team of hungry people, right?

[00:05:34] So 2025, you want to make it big.

[00:05:36] You've got to surround yourself by champions, like winners, like doers.

[00:05:42] I want you to really observe your whole business and see how you've been running it.

[00:05:48] Look at your sales department.

[00:05:50] Look at your marketing department.

[00:05:52] Look at your client care department.

[00:05:55] Look at your accounting department.

[00:05:57] Look at all of your departments, how many other departments that you've got.

[00:06:01] Analyze them and ask yourself a question.

[00:06:03] Is this my dream team?

[00:06:05] Do they know where they're going?

[00:06:06] If I was absent for like a week, would they carry on without me being there?

[00:06:10] So you want to make sure that everybody knows their responsibilities

[00:06:14] and they don't just wait for you to guide them.

[00:06:17] They have their own initiative.

[00:06:18] They do that.

[00:06:19] And not only that, but yourself too.

[00:06:22] Many people don't have mentors, which is shocking, right?

[00:06:24] It's so important to get yourself a mentor that can get the best out of you.

[00:06:27] And like me, I mentor my clients.

[00:06:29] And not only do I mentor my clients, I also help them help their team.

[00:06:34] So get the most out of their teams.

[00:06:36] So we really take a deep dive in.

[00:06:38] We did an exercise with our elite client just before Christmas

[00:06:41] and we broke down all of their team, the team members,

[00:06:46] their performance, their weak points, their strong points.

[00:06:49] Where they need help with, where they need support with, where they're not good.

[00:06:52] Right?

[00:06:53] Now, I asked a question in there.

[00:06:54] The team that you have, is that the team that you would go to war with?

[00:06:58] And some people said, yeah.

[00:07:00] And some people said no.

[00:07:02] Okay.

[00:07:02] So we've got to really up level.

[00:07:04] So you set yourself some tasks this year.

[00:07:07] So, right, what, how can I get more out myself?

[00:07:09] How can I get more out my team?

[00:07:10] Because the more you get out yourself, the more you get out your team,

[00:07:13] the bigger, faster your business grows.

[00:07:16] You have more cash in the bank, right?

[00:07:18] You've got to have efficient teams.

[00:07:20] I remember speaking to a friend of mine.

[00:07:22] He's very successful.

[00:07:23] And this is before, before I even start to like kind of hit it.

[00:07:26] I said, listen, dude, what's your secret to success?

[00:07:29] And we also, we knew about the mindset stuff, all of that kind of stuff.

[00:07:32] Right.

[00:07:33] And one thing that he said, he looked at me, he said, teams.

[00:07:37] And he said it was seriousness.

[00:07:38] I'm like teams.

[00:07:39] And when he said that, I thought, you know what?

[00:07:42] Success leaves clues.

[00:07:43] So I start to look at developing my team.

[00:07:47] Okay.

[00:07:48] So I start to work on my team because I now understand the importance of team

[00:07:52] because sometimes we go out and try to do everything ourselves.

[00:07:54] We might not have the skill sets.

[00:07:56] We might not have the personality traits or even enjoy doing certain things.

[00:08:01] So you've got to really find top talent you can like lean on.

[00:08:04] There's a lot of things I can't do.

[00:08:06] I'm not, I'm not a techie person.

[00:08:07] I could like, even with my, like I'm recording the podcast now.

[00:08:12] I have to get one of my team to just check in that I'm doing it correctly.

[00:08:15] Right.

[00:08:16] So, so you've got to have smart people around you.

[00:08:20] Not only that, you've got to have something that you're aspiring to go towards.

[00:08:23] You've got to set yourself a real clear goal.

[00:08:26] A goal when I'm, when I'm talking about goal, I don't just mean a monetary goal.

[00:08:29] Like, you know, I want to be making half a million a month.

[00:08:32] It needs to be more than that.

[00:08:34] You set yourself a goal, right?

[00:08:36] So I want to, let's say you want to make a million a month.

[00:08:38] That alone isn't enough.

[00:08:39] You can't just say, well, my goal is to earn a million a month.

[00:08:42] You got to take all the other steps that align with that million a month.

[00:08:46] When we look at people that are manifestation coaches, law of attraction coaches and other coaches out there,

[00:08:52] they will tell you to set a goal.

[00:08:55] Just put it on your dream board, write it on your card and just keep on reading it.

[00:08:59] But what's missing is developing a leadership team, developing yourself, having strict KPIs, having like deliverables, having an intention of what you must do on a week to week basis.

[00:09:13] The goal doesn't just happen.

[00:09:14] Okay.

[00:09:15] The steps that you have to take in order to make that happen.

[00:09:18] And that's a big thing that a lot of people are missing out on.

[00:09:22] Like strategy is not really that important to an extent, right?

[00:09:26] But what's more important than a strategy is having that right mindset first, having that belief.

[00:09:32] Once you can develop that belief, you'll see then the strategies will start to work.

[00:09:35] Now, you can't just say, I'm going to make a million dollars this year and just leave it at that.

[00:09:42] You've got to be developing yourself, right?

[00:09:44] You've got to get your beliefs in alignment.

[00:09:46] So you've got to at the subconscious level, you've got to start to work on yourself, right?

[00:09:50] Reprogram that subconscious mind.

[00:09:52] And at the same time, say, right, if I was doing a million a year, if I was making a million dollars a year, what would I be doing different today?

[00:09:59] Would I still be in my bed at 11 a.m.?

[00:10:02] Yeah, would I?

[00:10:03] Would I be out there making it happen, making things happen?

[00:10:09] Otherwise, 2025 is going to be no different.

[00:10:11] To what 2024 was like, what 2020 was.

[00:10:15] Study successful people.

[00:10:17] I don't read too many books, right?

[00:10:19] A lot of people say, read a lot of books, read a lot of books.

[00:10:21] I don't read too many books, but the ones I do read, I make sure that I have a thorough understanding.

[00:10:27] One of my favorite books is The Power of Awareness.

[00:10:29] Another one of my favorite books is actually by Peter Jones, an entrepreneur in the UK.

[00:10:33] It's called Tycoon.

[00:10:34] It's a great book.

[00:10:35] And I remember reading that 10, 11 years ago.

[00:10:38] And in there, he spoke about visualization.

[00:10:41] He said, I used to sit in my dad's chair and I used to just close my eyes, just imagine that I've got a team of people around me that I'm managing them.

[00:10:49] I'm the owner of the company.

[00:10:50] And that's ultimately what happened.

[00:10:51] And he talks about mindset in there.

[00:10:54] Everybody that's successful, they'll talk about you've got to have a good mindset.

[00:10:57] You've got to have good attitude.

[00:10:58] You can't just show up moaning, groaning, right?

[00:11:02] And expecting why things are not changing.

[00:11:03] You've got to have a good outlook in life.

[00:11:04] You've got to have a positive outlook in life and towards people as well.

[00:11:08] And towards yourself.

[00:11:09] The most important, most importantly, is having a good outlook towards yourself.

[00:11:15] Having high respects for yourself.

[00:11:16] A lot of people have a tough time respecting themselves.

[00:11:19] They don't, because we've been brought up in a society where people talk about ego.

[00:11:24] Don't be, you know, don't big yourself up.

[00:11:27] Don't, you know, don't blow your own trumpet.

[00:11:29] So if you're not going to blow your own trumpet, who's going to blow it for you?

[00:11:31] Your neighbor?

[00:11:33] I'm not afraid to talk about how good of a job that I do because I'm proud of myself and I believe in myself.

[00:11:39] And a lot of the time, people get mixed up between ego and self-belief.

[00:11:45] There is a huge difference.

[00:11:46] Ego and self-belief.

[00:11:48] You can have so much self-belief in yourself and not have an ego, right?

[00:11:52] Or you can have an ego and not believe in yourself.

[00:11:56] Think about that.

[00:11:58] What does ego make up for?

[00:11:59] Is it a lack of self-confidence?

[00:12:01] And so that's why people mix the two things up.

[00:12:04] People might say, well, Mindy's got an ego.

[00:12:06] But I don't say that.

[00:12:07] I've got confidence.

[00:12:09] And lots of it too.

[00:12:10] And rightfully so.

[00:12:11] I didn't always have confidence.

[00:12:13] I had to develop that self-confidence.

[00:12:15] And it took some time.

[00:12:17] But once that confidence was developed, I changed as a person.

[00:12:21] I started to do things.

[00:12:22] I started to interact with people differently.

[00:12:24] When I went over to America, I made a decision.

[00:12:26] When I first started to go to seminars out there with Bob Proctor, I made a decision.

[00:12:30] Hey, listen, nobody knows me here.

[00:12:32] And so if I start talking to people, going up to people and introducing myself, they won't judge me because they don't know what I was like before.

[00:12:39] Now, had I done that here, you know, around my social circle, people that I was around, they would say, well, he's changed a lot.

[00:12:45] What's going on with him?

[00:12:46] You know, he wasn't like that before.

[00:12:47] So I made a habit of speaking to strangers.

[00:12:50] I'd love going to networking events here.

[00:12:52] And I would start to introduce myself and start to develop that confidence.

[00:12:56] And it was a game changer for me because it allowed me to speak about whatever I want to speak about without being afraid to be judged.

[00:13:04] A lot of people have a big problem when they go into a new social environment and they're not really able to interact with people.

[00:13:11] A lot of people won't even say hello to you.

[00:13:12] They'll put their head down and just look at their phone if they're by themselves because they're so uncomfortable in their own skin.

[00:13:18] They won't have the ability, the confidence to go up to somebody and just put their hand out and shake their hand.

[00:13:24] I took one of my friends out.

[00:13:27] We went to a networking event and he saw me like change.

[00:13:31] He goes, you was never like that.

[00:13:34] You're talking to people, introducing me to other people.

[00:13:37] And I thought this is what I want to start doing.

[00:13:39] And now I'm confident there.

[00:13:41] Wherever I go, I'm confident speaking to people.

[00:13:43] Sometimes I might not choose to speak to people, but that's down to my own choice, right?

[00:13:47] But, you know, sometimes you're in your own mind and you don't want to talk to anybody.

[00:13:51] So that's OK, too.

[00:13:52] But ultimately, we have to develop as people.

[00:13:56] So what number one skill do you feel that you lack?

[00:13:58] Is it your confidence?

[00:13:59] So many people lack confidence.

[00:14:01] Business owners lack confidence.

[00:14:03] They're so afraid to approach a prospect, whether it's on the phone or anything.

[00:14:08] We got to keep on growing as people.

[00:14:10] 2025, I want this to be a big year for you.

[00:14:12] And I want you to really up level yourself.

[00:14:15] Before you can up level your bank account, I want you to remember one thing.

[00:14:19] Now, you have to up level your own mindset and your own character traits, your own personality.

[00:14:25] You have to change that self-image inside of you, that belief, how you see yourself,

[00:14:29] that concept that you have of yourself.

[00:14:31] What area do you find that you're weak in?

[00:14:34] OK, so this year I want you to, not even this year, this week, I want you to sit down with a notepad.

[00:14:39] Maybe do it today.

[00:14:40] Write down a description of like who you would have to become in order for you to attain the results that you wanted.

[00:14:45] If you're not a great salesperson, you might say, well, I need to be a much more better salesperson.

[00:14:51] I need to be more interactive with people.

[00:14:54] I need to lead the conversation more.

[00:14:55] I need to have that confidence more.

[00:14:57] If you're not a great leader, say, well, you know what?

[00:14:59] I've got to start to step up and take leadership and start leading my team.

[00:15:03] I need to start getting people on the same track.

[00:15:06] I need to like pull people up when they're not doing the work.

[00:15:08] So many people I don't know, like in business, they find it so hard to speak to their team.

[00:15:12] They can't say, hey, listen, you know what?

[00:15:15] You're not performing.

[00:15:16] You're underperforming.

[00:15:16] They just let them get on with it and they end up doing their employees jobs for them, which is totally fucked.

[00:15:21] Right.

[00:15:22] You're paying these people.

[00:15:23] Get the work done.

[00:15:24] I was talking to one of my clients last week.

[00:15:27] She was saying this member of staff has been so long and she just won't listen to me.

[00:15:32] I've got this relationship with her.

[00:15:34] We're very friendly and I don't feel very comfortable in pulling her in.

[00:15:39] I said, well, you're employing her.

[00:15:40] Now she's your friend.

[00:15:41] She's your friend outside of work.

[00:15:43] Right.

[00:15:43] But you've got to keep that relationship where they know where they stand.

[00:15:46] Your team know exactly where they stand, their boundaries.

[00:15:49] And a lot of people have a problem with this.

[00:15:51] You've been working with somebody for like 20 years and you're not happy with their performance for the last 15 years.

[00:15:56] And you've been not happy for the last 15 years and you've said nothing.

[00:15:59] So you're just paying this person and you've got all this frustration inside of you is taking up your mental energy.

[00:16:04] And and it eats up at you.

[00:16:06] And a lot of people don't understand why they get frustrated.

[00:16:09] Why are you getting frustrated?

[00:16:11] Right.

[00:16:11] Just write it down on a piece of paper.

[00:16:13] Get it.

[00:16:13] Map it out.

[00:16:14] What's pissing me off at work?

[00:16:16] Right.

[00:16:17] If you've got 10 employees, just do like do a check in on them, not with them.

[00:16:20] But this person strong points, weak points.

[00:16:23] What are they uncomfortable about doing?

[00:16:25] Where do they need to improve and start working on them on an individual basis?

[00:16:28] Don't just leave it.

[00:16:29] Leave it.

[00:16:30] Right.

[00:16:30] Because otherwise you're going to they're going to get cobwebs.

[00:16:32] You're going to get cobwebs and nothing's going to get done this year.

[00:16:35] I want it to be a big year for you.

[00:16:36] You've got to make some changes.

[00:16:37] Remember that you've got to get uncomfortable.

[00:16:39] You've got to get out your own skin and you've got to go fucking like beast mode.

[00:16:42] Let's look at upping your results this this year.

[00:16:45] Set yourself a monthly goal.

[00:16:46] Right.

[00:16:46] So I want you to set yourself a 30 day goal starting from today.

[00:16:50] What do you want to achieve in the next 30 days?

[00:16:53] This could be a financial one that you can actually measure.

[00:16:55] So let's just say you're making 20 grand a month and you've been doing that consistently.

[00:17:01] Why not set yourself a goal or say, right, let me just really stretch.

[00:17:05] Let me go for making an extra 10,000 this month.

[00:17:08] Right.

[00:17:09] Like halving it.

[00:17:10] Right.

[00:17:11] Doing another 10 grand.

[00:17:12] And then you do everything you can on a daily basis.

[00:17:15] All right.

[00:17:15] What do I need to get to my first 10 and the extra 10 grand?

[00:17:19] How many products do I need?

[00:17:20] How many services do I need to sell to get to 10,000?

[00:17:24] You might say, well, you know what?

[00:17:25] I charge 5,000 for my service that I charge.

[00:17:27] All I really need to do is it's like make two extra sales and it's not that big.

[00:17:32] But if you if you don't set the intention there, you're never going to get there.

[00:17:36] Right.

[00:17:36] So you've got to give yourself a target.

[00:17:38] You've got to give yourself a goal to aim at.

[00:17:40] Yeah, just like playing snooker or pool or billiards or whatever you play or darts,

[00:17:44] you know, or you're throwing something right.

[00:17:46] Javelin.

[00:17:46] You've got to have a target because otherwise you're just going to throw something in the

[00:17:49] air and hoping it lands where you want it without you even knowing where you want it to land.

[00:17:54] So how clear is your goal to you?

[00:17:56] Are you actually aiming towards it or is your goal just an empty idea without any effort

[00:18:02] behind it, without any energy put towards that?

[00:18:06] It's like being at the ocean.

[00:18:08] Imagine you're out in the ocean.

[00:18:09] Imagine you take a little paddleboard out and there's an island, right?

[00:18:14] It's three miles ahead of you.

[00:18:17] And you don't set a goal of say you see the island, right?

[00:18:20] Let's say you see the islands from like back up three miles in front of you and you just

[00:18:24] start paddling right towards the island.

[00:18:27] Would you agree that you'd probably hit the island versus you just paddling in a random

[00:18:30] direction?

[00:18:31] Yeah.

[00:18:31] So if you're paddling towards that island, you know that you've got a task.

[00:18:34] You know you've got an objective.

[00:18:35] And that's where I need to get to instead of just like just paddling and you're going

[00:18:39] to end up nowhere.

[00:18:40] Most people do that.

[00:18:41] So if you don't have a goal and it's clear and it's not written down, you're on the way

[00:18:45] to failure.

[00:18:45] You already failed by not having a goal.

[00:18:48] Speak to like 10 business owners and you ask them what they have.

[00:18:51] Do you have a goal?

[00:18:52] Most of them, I'll probably say maybe eight of them will probably say no.

[00:18:57] They'll probably say, no, I don't have a goal.

[00:18:59] Two people might say, yeah, I have a goal.

[00:19:01] And they wouldn't be able to articulate what that goal was.

[00:19:03] And one person out of 10 people might say, you know what?

[00:19:05] Yeah, I have a goal.

[00:19:06] My goal is to do X, Y and Z.

[00:19:08] They can write it out in a single sentence and you understand exactly what they're going

[00:19:12] after.

[00:19:13] So that person is more likely to go after it.

[00:19:15] So you must have a goal.

[00:19:17] It must be written down, right?

[00:19:18] So we're going to wrap this one up now.

[00:19:20] So I want you to set yourself a 30-day financial goal, right?

[00:19:23] And if you hit that 30-day financial goal, reach out to me on Insta and just send me a message.

[00:19:29] Say, let Mindy, I listened to your podcast and I did it, right?

[00:19:32] I set myself a 30-day goal and this is what I did.

[00:19:35] Now, don't just set a small goal like to earn an extra two, three thousand bucks.

[00:19:39] Stretch yourself.

[00:19:40] Start stretching yourself and you'll start to get stretchier.

[00:19:43] Now, is that even a word?

[00:19:44] You'll start to get even better at doing things.

[00:19:47] So you'll grow even more, right?

[00:19:48] Stretching is growing.

[00:19:48] A lot of people say like comfort, you know, success is outside your comfort zone.

[00:19:53] But where is your comfort zone?

[00:19:55] How do you identify what your comfort zone is?

[00:19:57] Your comfort zone is determined by how comfortable that you're feeling.

[00:20:00] Get out of that.

[00:20:01] Feel fucking sick.

[00:20:03] You know, get to a point where you're just stretching yourself so much that it causes

[00:20:07] you a bit of anxiety.

[00:20:08] There's nothing wrong with a bit of anxiety and just go after that goal.

[00:20:11] Fuck it.

[00:20:11] Just do it, right?

[00:20:12] So listen, thank you very much for listening and let's make 2025 a big year for you and your

[00:20:17] family.

[00:20:18] I want you to really succeed.

[00:20:19] I've got your back.

[00:20:20] I'm rooting for you, right?

[00:20:22] I've done it.

[00:20:22] I've seen so many other people do it.

[00:20:24] I want you to be next.

[00:20:25] Maybe you're already crushing it, but there's always that next level.

[00:20:28] So this is me checking out and have a wonderful 2025.
